Should I take over my father's business
by gilwarrior infor the almost 12 years my dad has owned and operated his own business (a bakery) in the houston area.
i know that my father wants me to take over it some day and i would love to own my own business, but the problem is that my people skills are in the toilet.
i tend to get frustrated very easily.

The solution is simple: Hire someone to manage and run the place. When you do this you keep your free time and still keep the profits. With your free time you go and start another venture and hire another manager for that one.

If Armegeddon is so close.......
by LDH inwhy don't any of the elders have plans for when it happens--kind of like a re-grouping thing?.
ginny's post got me thinking.. why don't any of 'jehovah's people' know what to do during and after armeggedon if it's so important that they survive?!?!?.
where is the secret book "surviving armegeddon?".

Underage Membership - Legal Defense Against DF
by obiefernandez inthis topic was inspired by the can you sue the watchtower... http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=21122&site=3.
it appears that the legal defense of the society is based on voluntary association, and based on that membership a person is by law subject to the eclessiastical tribunals (judicial committees) of jehovah's witnesses.
it immediately brings to mind the fact that many of us began association or were baptized while still minors.

Bastards!
They crank out kids (such as myself), raise them in the cult, and restrict their association. Then our only way out is to be shunned by our families and friends and be tossed out and treated like last weeks trash.
And people keep wondering why so many of us are bitter.

The woman must be breathing, hot, and with a functional vagina.

How do you feel about paying TAX?
by sleepy ini just had a shock today when i realised that i had just paid too much tax for last year.
i had forgotten to add almost 1000 pounds expenses to my tax return.. oh yes i'm going to get some money back.but should i be so hasty, this money will go toward policing , education and many other important needs of society.. maybe it would just go to some corrupt official or politician who will spend it on a slap up meal.. so how do you feel about paying your taxes.
are they too high or not high enought.. are there any better ways for keeping countries running smoothly.. also what taxes do you pay in other countries?.

Sleepy,
You're forgetting something very important: You are not going to "get" any money from the government... it was always yours to begin with, and to boot, you effectively gave the government a free loan. If I were you, I would be pissed.
If you underpay your taxes, you have to pay the extra plus penalties and interest. Does the government pay you penalties and interest for taking too much from you? Nope!
With all that in mind, are you still seriously considering giving the government even MORE of your money?
Is everyone in Europe as willing and eager to give his or her money to the government as you are?
